Vaccination Policy
Because of the large number of dogs that gather during training and the consequent opportunity for dog-related diseases to spread quickly, the club requires that all dog must be vaccinated before they can be allowed to train. For the wellbeing of the other dogs at the club, there can be no exceptions on this matter.
Due to recent outbreaks of Canine/Kennel Cough in Perth, as well as in light of new veterinary research and guidelines, the NST&ODC committee have updated the club's vaccination policy.
All new members must display evidence of C5 or C6 immunity at a minimum. This can take the form of:
- C5 or C6 vaccination
- C3 vaccination + Canine/Kennel Cough vaccinations (Bordetella bronchiseptica + canine parainfluenza)
- C3 titre test + Canine/Kennel Cough vaccinations (Bordetella bronchiseptica + canine parainfluenza)
All evidence of immunity must be within date (i.e. the next vaccination date must be in the future) and from a registered vet.
Renewals
All renewing members will have to provide the same evidence of immunity (photocopies will be accepted) with their when collecting their badge.
